This Christmas.

Bringing home a new baby this Christmas and looking forward to starting a new tradition.

The new baby I'm referring to is of course the little tree we plan on growing in our garden, bringing back inside every Christmas.

Spending a small fortune on decorations psychically hurt but, it's all worthwhile to feel festive in the new home we moved into during September. We purchased some lovely baubles and although I may have raged out and accidentally smashed a couple in the decorating process, the rest look beautiful and will hopefully last for years.

I'm partial to more modern pastel colour schemes and shades of blue in Christmas decor however, my partner loves the traditional red and gold. Together we found our own style and individually picked items that we both love.

After an afternoon of drinking gin, decorating the house and eating my way through boxes of chocolates gifted to me on my birthday, I think it's safe to say I'm feeling pretty damn festive.

I have a feeling this Christmas is going to be one I want to remember.

  1. Awh I love that little tree! We're going to get a small one for outside the house soon. I love your decor - I also love traditional red and gold but I also like a more modern style. We have turquoise and silver at the moment and I love it. That's one of my favourite things about Christmas, is seeing everyone's different tree decor! x

    1. I love that idea. We have a front garden and I really want to get a nice Christmas plant to sit outside our front door. So far we've only wrapped some fairy lights around our palm tree which look incredibly tacky but I love it! I love the idea of a turquoise and silver theme though. I bet your decor looks really beautiful x

    1. Thank you. I'm hoping the tree grows lots over the years but is still manageable. I've heard from horror stories recently about overgrown trees on Twitter.

  5. I'm surprised such a little tree can support that many decorations

    1. Thank you so much. They were purchased at our local garden center last week and I love them. Can't wait to grow our collection over the next few years too.
