Make Christmas Simple with Gousto

For over a year now I've been ordering from Gousto and absolutely loving every recipe. I always try my best to be organised in my food prep and cooking which is why Gousto works so well for me. I can literally plan my life around when my box will arrive and I don't have to worry about food shopping every week.

You can order for either two or four people with up to four recipes and there's an entirely new menu every single week released Tuesdays at midday.

Their step by step meal guides make every dish super easy to recreate too and their ingredients are all locally sourced.

Gousto at Christmas is particularly exciting as they offer at least four selections of festive meals per week in December. Don't worry about whether you're veggie, vegan, gluten-free or a real meat lover - there's something for everyone.

Here are just two of my favorite recipes so far this festive season.

Pork and Sage Meatballs with Onion Gravy

The scent of sage reminds me of Christmas instantly and this dish was just a big ball of happiness. Comfort food at it's finest.

My belly felt well and truly satisfied by the deliciously simple flavour combinations.

Crispy kale and creamy mash added texture to a relatively straight forward recipe. Combining panko breadcrumbs into the pork mince created a light and not stodgy meatball.

Cooking the meatballs gently with the onion gravy secured extra levels of indulgence without feeling unhealthy as well.

Pure comfort on a gloomy winters day.

The Ultimate Venison and Camembert Burger

Just look at it. What's not to like?

This glorious creation was a new one on me. I'd never tried venison before and worried it would all be too over indulgent but, I trusted Gousto not to disappoint and they didn't.

Oh, how I crave this burger so much.

Paired with delicious homemade skin on chips and a brussel spout salad that combined chopped cranberries, garlic, a little mayo and some dijon mustard and you're onto a winner!

Inside the bun itself I also added a little more of this sprout salad creation, some balsamic caramalised onions, cranberry sauce and a big slab of oozy Camembert to top the whole thing off.

This burger has changed me. When will I enjoy such a masterpiece again?

    1. Definitely consider ordering yourself a box. It's relatively cost effective for me and my partner and we tend to order a box only once or twice a month, when we don't have the time/energy to visit our local supermarket x

    1. Definitely. I've learnt so much and feel so much more confident in the kitchen because of Gousto. I'm yet to try out other brands doing similar such as Hello Fresh but, I'm interested to give them a go in the new year.
